New New

this is the new new normal

A belated happy new year to you all! It’s been a while since our last post, officially it was ‘last year’, and so much has happened.

Over the past four weeks, I have:

  • Moved in with Mr G
  • Started a new job
  • Visited San Francisco for a week for work and training
  • Been without proper Internet at home since moving out

Okay, so there are only 4 things there but in all honesty, they’re all pretty massive – milestones even!

I’ve just realised I never had the chance to post up photos from the Blue Mountains trip either! Although I did manage to squeeze in time somehow to edit and cull them. There’s just been so much happening, and so much more that has added to my plate of life (some would call them ‘adult life responsibilities’), that it’s been hard getting back into my normal routine and enjoying the things I usually do in my free time (what free time?!)

In any case, I’m determined to get back into the groove, and resurrect my blogging mojo!

See you guys very soon :)

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

I thought it would be finally the perfect opportunity to show what were in the original shoe boxes - after all, it fits the theme perfectly: Christmas Day! Opening boxes are all the rage and these four shoes were more or less a gift to myself thanks to Solestruck‘s awesome recent sales bonanza.

With the last day of work yesterday before the Christmas break, I had the chance to break into my Jeffrey Campbell Skates around the office. It was AWESOME. They surprisingly fit quite comfortably and are not too difficult to walk in. Plus the bonus of amused looks around the office provides some decent humour and festive cheer!

Meanwhile, at the time of my taking photos of these shoes when they had just arrived, I had an epiphany (of sorts). In other words, I will be Tumblr’ing & Pinterest’ing it up very soon – watch this space come 2012! HAVE A GOOD ONE!

There’s less than five days until Christmas 2011 which means it’s party season and festivities all around! Gareth calls me a grinch, which I don’t entirely agree with because I think it’s a fun time of the year – I’m just not a big fan of all the over-commercialisation, hustle & bustle that is generated. It definitely puts me into a good party mood though! So it was pretty awesome timing when a new Australian e-fashion start up called The Iconic contacted me to do a special post for them. I’m always happy to help out with Sydney start ups and in this case, it’s a fashion one = double win!

For those of you that have not yet heard of The Iconic, it is a relatively new Australian fashion e-tailer that offers everything under the fashion sun for men and women. The best bit in my opinion would be the free delivery aspect and the breadth of brands.

Being in this special holiday mood at this time of year, I’ve picked out my favourite dresses and shoes for this summer from the site. These are items that I would definitely wear myself depending on the occasion and mood (and the money!). As you can see, each dress has a bit different of a different look to the other, but I find them all beautiful! And never forget that shoes can make or break an outfit! So go go go ladies (and gents!) – shop, shop away!

PS. They also currently have a 50% Christmas sale on selected shoes (including that black one up there – onto my list it goes!)

PPS. Have a very Merry Xmas in case you don’t hear from me around that time, although you should because I still need to post about what were in those shoeboxes… ;)
